Columbia & Montour Area Agency on the Aging
For over 35 years, the AoA has provided home and community-based services to millions of older persons through the programs funded under the Older Americans Act. The Goal of the AOA is to make sure that all older Americans and their families have the information and assistance they need to make informed decisions about their life choices now and in the future. Choices that help people maintain and improve their health as they age.
A wide range of assistance, services or devices provided over an extended period of time and designed to meet medical, personal and social needs in a variety of settings or locations to enable a person to live as independently as possible.
The Area Agency on Aging serves over 16,000 citizens age 60 and over. The two primary goals of the Agency are to provide services that will enable older adults to maintain a relatively independent lifestyle in both home and community and to advocate for older adults and their needs.
